Commercial to Residential Conversation: The Transformation of the Wellington Arms

Updated: May 14, 2019

A couple of weeks ago we completed the purchase of a pub in the centre of Burton-On-Trent which we identified as a great opportunity to give an old building a new lease of life and convert to residential property.

At the time of getting the keys the property was made up of the pub, four guest rooms at the back and a living quarters upstairs. We succeeded in gaining planning permission to convert the property to four flats and an eight bedroom guest house as shown by architects drawings below.

Once we got the purchase over the line the work began instantly and the large clear out commenced. In a couple of the weeks of hard work the property has now been stripped back to it's brick skeleton and the new internal layout is starting to be mapped out.

This is an exciting project for us and we will keep you updated via the blog with the progress of this development, be sure to check back soon!
